By now you’re wondering; why the affliction with Volkswagen?
Let me go back to a bit of affliction history. It’s because of ‘Max’.
‘Max’ is the name of my parents’ 1963 VW 1500 S Notchback. This was my very first long term encounter with a 1:1 VW and my dad gave it that name. 'Max' is like a well loved family pet. Everybody knows it by name.
I missed it so much today. Why? He's been gone missing! Why again? More of that next time…

My good friend sent me this, last year. It’s one that is in his dad’s collection. I’m so happy on the parallel of sorts and that I’ve finally got this wonderful miniature (been looking for an example, all of these years!).
Has the same old-school appeal…

Only people like us will appreciate cars that fade away in time but most importantly is the memory live on.
The damper so low & it seems the body touch the ground.It remind me the hot rod from USA , the airrey & dancing car of the hiphop in LA.

Yes, good memories we take with us to last a lifetime. These cars we remember because, we rode to wonderful trips with friends and family in them.
The stance is called 'slammed or dropped' (lowered to the ground)or 'bagged' (air-type lowering) in Vw car culture. You're right, the California enthusiast started the look...hence it's called "Cal-look" or "California Look".

Hi Erwin, after a long break. Unfortunately my computer break down and I wasn't able to do anything. Now I know, that I'm not only man in the world who didn't know that Lego make those miniature hehe. Beautifull staff. Greetings from Poland Dude!

The Lego is not common in minature cars, so that is understandable. They are more famous for the bricks that connect I guess. Glad you liked it, and my regards to your family in Poland!
